Hello, lovely dancers, and welcome to Dancing Angel! My name is Aquinnah, I am 17 years old, and I have been living it up in the performance world for 13 years now, having danced in studios across the country. I have had the privilege of learning from several professional choreographers and instructors and have taken master classes under German Zamuel, Sally Monroe, Erin Benson, Patrizia Herminjard and Athena Baschal. I have been a part of numerous productions, including New Life Church’s The Crown, FYB’s FirebirdĀ andĀ The Nutcracker ballet, and have opened for Ballet Emmanuel, alongside my incredible sisters. I am a Cecchetti Certified Grade II, with a background in both the Cecchetti and Vaganova methods of ballet. I served as a dance teacher’s assistant for three years and an intern for one year, having worked with students ages two to 12, and was the Assistant Director of Kingdom’s Feet Dance Camp 2014. In my 13 years, I have practiced ballet, pointe, partnering, Pilates, yoga, contemporary, lyrical, worship, modern, tap, jazz, hip-hop, choreography and played the Firebird in my studio’s youth ballet 2015. I am currently focusing on modern.
Need the details? This blog follows my journey through all things dance-related (and sometimes nerd-related, too). I would love to have you along, Beautiful.
I’m all about making the “impossible” possible. If you don’t agree with my views, that’s fine. I respect that. Please offer me the same courtesy.
Blessings,
Aquinnah
